Today I was looking for a simple way to easily retrieve data from the redis or memcache server using pure Lua client implementation. I could not find a simple example so I wrote one myself.
You will need suitable script: redis or memcache (they are available also as deb packages in debian 7.0 and they work with nginx-extras from dotdeb.org). With that installed you just need simple config:
Why bother? Because you can modify content of the cache, expand it with sub-request, store original headers , automatically save pages in cache and many other. Enjoy.
